| Corrine's Steampunk Gear Look |
Not sure where I am going with this steampunk gear necklace or pin. Maybe both if I use the pinback
& bail. But it was fun. I had picked up the washer combo that had been soldered together somewhere along the
line- all rusty and cool. So I used 2 of the brass gears- one as a base over the larger washer hole and a smaller one
on tope of that - but kind of hard to see because the brad in the center that says "etc" covers most of it. I had a
cool filigree piece I had been hoarding for quite some time. I felt the washers needed something plus it would make
it easier to turn into a necklace or pin, so I adhered it to the filigree pieces using Claudine Hellmuth Matte Medium.
I also add a little bit of gold leaf to the washers.

The steampunk look is really hot right now and I, personally, love the look. I love metal, gears-
how things work and these are so much fun to mix and match together for jewelry, scrapbooks, altered art, books, etc.
Graphics 45 has a wonderful paper collection called Steampunk Debutante and these will coordinate well with
that too.
They come in 3 sizes, small (approx 5/8" in diameter), medium (approx. 3/4" in diameter) and large
(approx. 1" in diamter).
Don't forget you can add more interest to them since they are flat by stamping on them using your Staz-On
Ink pad.
Brass Steampunk Gears-Large Solid Sprocket~This gear measures approx. a little larger than 1" in diameter.
It is a solid charm and flat on both sides so you can adhere with your favorite Articus Studio adhesive or run a ribbon, cord,
etc. through the center hole opening.

Brass Steampunk Gear-Large Open Sprocket~This gear measures approx. a little more than 1" in diameter.
The center opening measures approx. 5/8" in diamter. Use the opening to frame a picture, words, face, etc. It
is flat on both sides, adhere with glue or attach with ribbon, cording, etc. Pkg 4 gears.

Brass Steampunk Gears-Large Spoke Sprocket~Wasn't sure whether to call it spokes or even resembles a
star to me in the center. But I love the steampunk look, metal, gears- the whole works. This gear measures approx
a little more than 1" in dimeter. It is flat on both sides so you can easily adhere with glue, or use one of the openings
and dangle from ribbon, fibers, cording, etc. You can also attach several sizes together with brads for a cool look
and it will move. Pkg 4 gears.

Copper Steampunk Gears, Small Solid Sprocket~This gear comes in a bright shiny copper metal. It
measures approx. 5/8" in diameter. Mix and match with the other copper pieces or mix with the brass, either way it will
be a cool look. Pkg 4.

the Jetsons cartoons. This gear measures approx 5/8" in diameter and is flat on both sides. Pkg 4 gears.

flat on both sides. They are thin too so they do not add much height, unless you are stacking them on each other, even

Did you know you could make a cute little mini book using the square frame above? Neither did I.
I was making some other kinds of books-multiple signatures- and actually was looking through a jewelry magazine and saw a
pic of something that gave me the idea for this- you just never know where your inspiration will come from. I put some
Grpahics 45 paper in the frame that had a gear design, added some of our cool brass gears and set them in with Ranger Matte
Accents. It has some beads on the side and ties in the front. I left the little frame rings on- for now- I may
add something to them too. Or I may just snip them off- time will tell. You could actually use them to incorporate
this into a necklace.
Brass charms are amazingly versatile embellishments!
