Glass Tile Pendants are made from quality glass, completely clear.  The edges are nicely rounded and smooth.  All the tile shapes measure approximately 3/16" high.  You can tell which side is the top side of the tile as it does angle slightly to the bottom edge. 

Use the glass tiles as pendants, magnets, small paperweights, embellishments on the front of altered books or scrapbooks- many more uses, I am sure, will come to mind.

Easy to use and to create a unique glass tile pendant.  You can use the beautiful collage sheets that have been designed to match the size of pendant you want to make, use pretty Japanese papers, photos, favorite paper- like Graphic 45, favorite Zentangled art, use the Articus Studio Art Sticker Books, irridescent sheets, magazines, post cards, favorite fabrics, or Pheasant under glass...just kidding, wanted to see if you were paying attention.  There are many things you can showcase under glass and wear as a personal statement of art to the world.

What you need.....scissors, your selection of art for the glass, 3D Crystal Lacquer or other clear resin product,  glass tile, and for a pendant- one of our jewelry bails to compliment your design and the chain you want to hang you finished pendant from.  We carry ball chain by the foot for your convenience.

Step 1.  Select your artwork for the glass tile.

Note-If your selection is printed from an inkjet printer, you will have to seal it with Mod Podge or other sealer before you begin.

Step 2.  Apply crystal lacquer to your artwork.  You don't need to cut out the artwork first, just apply the lacquer evenly to the area you want under the glass.

Step 3.  Place the glass tile over the image you want to capture under the glass, move it slightly side to side or up & down to get out any air bubbles that may be underneath,  then let it sit for approximately 15-30 minutes.  Don't be impatient.  When I did it-I had to let them dry longer- humid in Ohio so did take longer.

Step 4.  Using fine scissors, cut along the edges of glass.  I like to have things finished on both sides, so I might suggest you also cut a decorative pieces of paper or fabric and glue it to the back of your artwork.  Let it also dry.  Cut any excess paper away from the glass.

Step 5.  On the back side of your pendant, apply crystal lacquer or other strong jewelry glue to the area where you want the bail to be.  Mount the bail over the glue and secure the position of the bail.  Let this now dry for 1-2 hours.  It would be best to let everything dry for approx. 24 hours before you wear your unique glass tile pendant.

Step 6.  Choose your chain, ribbon, etc. that you want to put your pendant on- wear and enjoy!
