Each year at CHA (Craft & Hobby Assoc.) Trade Show, I seem to find one company that blows me away.
for 2008 it was the Amate pendants and jewelry. I loved all the styles they come in. I love anything pewter, so
it was a winner right away. I hope you enjoy them as much.
The Amate pendants are made of pewter which is lead free.
The Amate rings, bracelet & rectangle pendant kits are made of a base of German silver and then it is
overlaid with sterling silver.
How to care for your Amate jewelry-
Your pewter pendants or ring, bracelet, pendant kit can all be cared for with a soft jewelry cloth.
Do not use liquid jewelry cleaner.
You can use your polymer clay and bake the clay right in your piece up to 400 degree oven.
If you want to use PMC (precious metal clay) then bake your PMC separately from the piece. The
PMC requires a much higher temperature. Then when your PMC is done, you can adhere into your jewelry piece.
The pendant bails have a very generous opening on them and will accomodate chain, fibers, ribbon, etc.
It will even accomodate going over smaller beads too.
The pendant wells, in most instances, are a little more than 1/4" deep. This allows for the application
of polymer clay, collages, UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel), photos, precious metal clay, small embellishments and many
other things.
Jumbo Long Rectangle Pewter Pendant~ This pendant is bold and big. it measures approx. 56x26mm
or approx. 1 1/16" wide and the pendant height is approx. 2 1/4" high and with the bail, approx. 2 3/4" high. Made of
pewter and sold per peice.

Double Looped Pewter Triangle Pendant, Lipped~ This pendant has a ring at the top and at the bottom.
At its widest it measures approx. 1 1/8" wide and from the top of the ring to the bottom of the ring it measures approx. 1
13/16" high. Sold per piece.

Large Square Pewter Pendant~This pendant measures approx. 29x29mm or 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" . The generous
bail also adds approx. 1/2" to the height. Great for a collage too. Sold per piece.

Square Lipped Pewter Pendant~ This pendant measures approx. 18 x 18mm or approx. 1 1/16" square.
The well portion measures approx. 13/16" square. The ring adds approx. 3/16" to the height of the pendant. Sold

Amate Extra Large Square Pewter Pendant~This pendant measures approx. 35 x 35 mm or approx. 1 1/2 x
1 1/2". The bail adds another almost 1/2" to the height. Sold Per peice.

3 Piece Rectangle Kit~These 3 pieces, ring, rectangle pendant and bracelet are made with a base of German
silver and then overlaid with sterling silver. Each piece has a deep well. The bracelet and ring are one size
fits all. The rectangles on the ring, bracelet and the pendant all measure approx. 5/8" wide and approx.
1 1/8" high. The kit comes with all 3 pieces shown and sold per kit. (The Ring is also sold separately below)

Amate Deep Welled Rectangle Ring. Sold Individually, $7.95
Amate Slide Holder Pendant~This pendant willactually hold a 1" x 3" glass slide. The slide fits
snug from top and bottom and then has a little bit of a gap on the side. You can put your favorite phonto, collage,
etc. in the pendant and then pop your slide over top. I would still add a touch of glaze to help it stay in place but
a very interesting idea. The pendant measures approx. 3 1/2" high with the bail and approx. 1 3/16" wide. The
bail is very generous so you can get just about anything through it. Sold per piece.

Amate Rectangle Pendant~Thispendant measures approx. 1 1/4" wide and approx. 13/16" high- not including
the bail. It has a recessed center so that you can add glaze or other medium. The bail hole is pretty generous
and should easily except the standard size of ball chain. This is considered their "large" rectangle. You get
a package of 1 pendant.

Try the New Ultra Bond Heat Activated Adhesive with your pendants, rings, etc.
This is a sample from the manufacturer showing different variations of utee (ultra thick embossing enamel). When
you use utee, after it cools, the piece will pop out and then you will use your Weldbond jewelry glue, Ranger acents or similar
glues to adhere the utee permanently into the pendant.
This ws a sample that was made up while at CHA. The demonstrator mixed various colors of the utee in a melting
pot and after it melted, then poured it directly into the pendant. See the little hook of utee on the side? Just
take your heat gun to that area lightly and it will melt away. I adhered this piece into the pendant using Ranger glossy
accents.
This is another little sample the manufacturer made up. If I ever get to play again (you guys keep me busy....thank
you!!) I will get some samples loaded that I would like to do.
