Using a combination of the 1" round chipboard and the 2" square chipboard shapes, I laid out a design on
a Ikea mirror, selected a Graphics 45 paper from the Fashionista collection, adhered the paper to the chipboard using Claudine
Hellmuth Matte Medium, sanded the perimeter, added a bit of extra color to the edges using Tim Holtz Pumice Stone Distress
Ink Pad and then adhered the shapes to the mirror using the matte medium.
I then added some red grosgrain ribbon to hang it with.

Chipboard 1" square~I got the idea for this one evening while watching QVC jewelry- they showed a piece
I liked and thought I could replicate it somewhat with the chipboard and a charm. I painted the chipboard black.
I wanted a little bit of design in the background so I embossed a stamp with gears on it in black embossing powder, added
the brass charm and 3 small Swarovski flat back crystals in the center and a scew post at the top. If I was going
to wear this as a necklace, I would further shore up the screw post with some glue or glaze.
You can do a lot with the chipboard pieces to create unique one-of-a-kind embellishments for your cards,
books, scrapbooks, etc.
Although this is not a chipboard square (black mat board) it does represent the cute little somethin'-somethin' you can
make with the squares. This was a little clippy handed out by B-Line Rubber Stamps at CHA 2008. I loved it- I
like black and white alot! When I first started stamping, I bough all the cutesy stamps- teddy bears, flowers,
etc and then I found myself being drawn to more graphic artsy kind of stamps. I was intriqued by that process to see
how my true taste and style evolved.
This was a pre-bought spiral bound book and I decorated it using the Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint-black soot as the
background and I put 3 little chipboard squares together and stamped a word on them (Vision from Stampers Anonymous) and then
separated them and mounted them on back door screen. I also painted 3 other squares and used them vertically stamping
single words on them. It also had a Tim Holtz Trinket Pin above the little angel stamp and a "One Way" traffic road
sign sticker. The lion stamp was done at a class I took somewhere. I liked the stamp and I had some paper towels
that had ink all over it so I stamped it on the paper towel and it ended up on this project.
Using a bracket shaped bookboard, I used Graphics 45 paper on the cover and pages of the book.
I made the pages square though, they do not mimic the shape of the brackets (just too fussy for me to do that). All
you need to do is just make them the size of the board at its narrowest. I did use a corner rounder to round the pages
though to mimic the rounded tops and bottoms of the chipboard.
Although I no longer carry this shape, I thought you still might like to see a sample you can adapt
to any shape.
