I find jewelry making very gratifying. In my endeavors of making jewelry I have also found that having
the right tool or aid is worth its weight in gold. I don't spend 8 hours every day making jewelry, just a part time
relaxation and creative outlet. I don't need real expensive tools for this. If I spent many hours making
jewelry, cutting wire and head pins, I would certainly advise you to get the best tools you can within your budget.
For part timers, this is a fine selection of tools and aids to make jewelry making even more fun and enjoyable.
Most of these items are the same as what is supplied to major jewelry suppliers on the internet.
I am able to provide you with these same products at a better price because I don't go thru a middle man
or middle supplier.
Aluminum Beading Sorting Tray/Scoop~ I love all the little tools that help make beading or any other
craft just a little easier. These trays are handy to hold your beads while beading or use them to scoop the beads up
on your bead mat (hopefully you won't have to use it for beads that have spilled on the floor). Plus, they are just
cute! It measures approx. 2 3/4" high.
$0.39
Bead Scooper~ This 6" long metal bead scooper is ideal for scooping, gathering and transporting small
beads. You can even try it with your unruly powders or micro beads. If you beads spill out on your floor or work
area, this scoop makes short work of gathering them up.
$1.75
Regular Size Crimp Tool~ Use for crimping your crimp beads. Measures 5".
$9.99
Double Headed Rubber Mallet ~ This is an all purpose hammer for jewelry making and wire
working. Use a rubber mallet to hammer wire without marring the finish on it. Nice weight and fits well in a woman's
hand. Approx. 7" high and head measures 2.5" across.
$2.99
Mini Crimper Tool~This crimper is supposed to be for the smaller crimp beads, although I have
used it with the ones I sell, the 1.3mm crimp beads, and it worked great for those. The tool itself measures 5"
high.
$9.99
5" Long Nose Pliers~ These plier are smooth on the inside of the long nose part. Use for
gripping when working with wire, head pins and more. I find these an indispensable tool when jewelry making. They
have a pink padded handle for comfort while using.
$4.89
Split Ring Pliers~ These are made from quality carbon steel and are 5 1/2" long (14 cm). They
have comfort grip handles for ease of use. Now you may wonder what you use these for, well you know those jump rings
that go around more than once (sort of like a mini key ring) and are a pain to get anything on, these make that
easier to do.
$12.95
Diamond Bead Reamer Set~ This tool reams out beads or dominos, etc. that don't have a clear hole through
and through. You get 3 tips included with this tool and they store in the body of the tool so you always know where
they are. You get 2 reaming points to smooth, straighten and enlarge holes in ceramic, stone or glass beads. You
also receive a 45 degree edging point that rounds and smoothes eges so the beads do not cut through cord. The case/handle
is all metal and made in the U.S.
$16.99
Tool Handle~ This handle is made for needle files, reamers, etc. It makes it easier to hold the
needle file in your hand and use. I have it pictured next to a needle file so you get an idea of what it is used for.
It is a bright yellow and black hard handle. The grip has ridges in it for handling ease. It also has a hole at
the top so you can hang it from your pegboard or wall. It measures approx. 2 1/2" high and approx. 5/8" in diameter.
