Corrines Gourd colored with Distress Ink

This gourd was cleaned and then I used Distress Inks to add the color and 7 Gypsies Rub Ons and sealed it with Claudine Helmuth Matte Medium.

All the ink pads & Reinkers are on sale.  They are limited to supply on hand and will not be re-ordered

Need a Non Stick Teflon Sheet to work on? We got em'-check out this link:

clockboxuse.jpg

This is a wood canister box covered with Graphics 45 paper.  The paper was adhered using Claudine Hellmuth matte medium and it makes for such a smooth and even adhesion that is seamless between the wood box and the paper.  I sanded the edges and applied Tim Holtz Distress Inks with a blending tool.  I used a combination of pumice stone, victorian velvet and forest moss to enhance the papers.

They are HERE and they are gor-ge-oous!!!

I am a big fan of these ink pads and have already played with them a little bit and I love each color.

distink_boxuse.jpg

These are the new colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads released January, 2010.  I personallly have in my "collection" all the other colors and looking forward to receiving these.  I have enjoyeed using all the colors and mix and match-blending them on top of each other and into different surfaces-like wood and paper mache.
These inks are non-toxic, fade resistant, acid free water-based dye inks.  You can also emboss with them as they stay wet a little longer.
The Distress pads are made with a raised felt pad for easier use and for direct-to-paper techniques.
They are made with a "weathered" or vintage look in mind.  I just like them for everything.  Try them on photos, fibers and ribbon, too.
If you want to paint a small area, like on a photo, the Cut & Dry Pen Nibs are a great way to add that look.

Weathered Wood Distress Ink Pad

Weathred Wood Distress Ink REINKER

DID YOU KNOW.....the reinkers come with a dropper inside and one dropperful is equal to the same amount they put in a pad when they manufacture it.

DID YOU KNOW....when you reink your pad, take a credit card or squeegee like tool (flat scrapper) and press your ink into the pad -it works it into the material and then you don't have a big glob of ink on your stamp when you go to stamp.

DID YOU KNOW.......these distress inks are formulated so they won't water down when water is applied.  For instance, you put barn door on your teflon sheet, you spritz it with water- you don't get pink- it remains barn door.

DID YOU KNOW....if you want to seal your project and you have used Distress Inks it will react with anything water based- spray seals, etc.  What does work is using Judikins Microglaze.  It does not react with the inks because it is not water based and will seal it.  Easy to apply.

DID YOU KNOW....if you are using cling mounted stamps and you get Distress Ink on the back part- the part that clings to the acrylic- it won't stick on your block- but just take some water and clean the stamp and will stick right back onto the acrylic block.

Judikins Microglaze can be found on this page

Here are some samples I made the day I received the inks.  They are stilll a work in progress, I will be adding other things to them, but I just wanted to share with you the pretty colors- I often use almost all of the colors on a tag, they all blend well and add or take away something when I use them.  For instance, I may have it to bright or too dark and add another color and it makes it just perfect.

tag3use.jpg

This was done using a tree stencil from Dream Weavers Stencils.  I added some of the ink colors to the tag then I traced the design using a micro tip Sharpie and then colored and highlighted the tree using the pen nibs and the Distress inks.

ta1g2use.jpg

Another Dream Weaver Stencil, inked the tag, traced the design using micro tip Sharpie and colored in with the pen nibs.

ta1g1use.jpg

As I said, these tags are still a work in progess, but I inked the tag and then stamped the image and used a scallop edge punch from Stampin' Up at the bottom.

tag4use.jpg

Another Dragon work in progress.  He is just so gorgeous.

jrneyuse.jpg

I have just fallen in love with the inkk color, pumice stone.  I use it on almost everything.  I stamped and embossed this Magenta stamp- it was a 9 panel floral thing.  I colored them and cut them apart and rearranged some on this cream colored cardstock.  Stamped it with "The Journey" Stamper's Anonymous stamp and just went around the outside with pumice stone.  I really am not a card maker so this will go on the cover of a book or some other project.
You can never go wrong with simple and easy

Triptych Template Bag all opened up

I used the triptych template (link to page it is on is below) to create this little item you can use to put additional things in and send to a friend.  I took a brown paper bag and laid the template on top and traced around it, then I reversed the template so the peak was at the bottom and let a little of  it hang over the bottom straight part of the template and traced around it.  Later, you can fold this end up into the triptych and can hold papers, tickets, photos, etc.
Cut out your template.  I traced the same thing around another piece of paper- can be lighter paper like newsprint, old pages from books, etc. and glued to the inside.  I used Claudine Hellmuth matte medium.  After I had the look I wanted inside, I took Tim Holtz Distress Inks and altered inside and out and added a few stamped images and covered everything with matte medium again.  I used the Celtic Door stencil with red paste.  Cut it on the sides so the doors will actually open and put a hidden secret inside the doors.  I used a 1" paper punch and cut out some music paper for the outside and glued that onto the front, punched a small hole for cording and ran the cording through so you can tie it shut.
I got this idea from a customer/turned friend, Annette Daniels.  She recently sent me some of the wonderful books she creates using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  She had a paper bag un-bag in the pack and tied up and when you opened it, she had all kinds of vintage goodies inside.  It was so much fun!!  So this is my take on her un-bag.
Cute!

ATTN:  MAC Users & Ipod Phone Users~
For some reason Mac/Ipods & Paypal do not work well together.  For some Mac & Ipod users, the Paypal cart will dump after several things are added to the cart.  I might suggest you write the item numbers down that come up when you "add to cart".  If it does dump, you can call -740-477-1238 or email your order c_byers1@msn.com.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  I have notified Paypal of this problem, but so far it has not been fixed.

Thanks so much for your patience during this time.

PLEASE make sure your Paypal ADDRESS is CORRECT before placing your order.  Thanks!  It also helps to have a correct email address if I need to contact you re your order.  Thanks.
