I attended CHA (Craft & Hobby Trade Association) show in Chicago, 2010.  I took a class from Katie Hacker who has created these wonderful jewelry components.  I fell in love with them.  They were simple to use and the result is very dramatic.  This is a sample of the project I did in her class.  This project was also featured in a summer edition of - I believe- Bead Unique- or one of the beading magazines and was featured on the cover of that issue as well and looks just like this.  This is called a double circle pendant.  We put an 8mm Swarovski crystal onto the head pin- we have them too- love the little ball on the head pin- put it through the pre-drilled holes and wrapped it at the top.  We used beading wire (yep- got that too) and passed the beading wire under the head pin, while still on the sppol, then strunk 14 golden shadow crystals onto the smaller channel on the pendant, pass the end under the head pin & throught the first 4 beads to form a circle.  Cut the wire.  We repeated this again for the larger circle using 23 green crystals to the channel.  It was pretty easy to do and I especially liked the enhancer bail used -the chain goes through it.  These are pretty slick and yep-got them too.

This was another project we made in Katie's class.  I am sorry that the scan does not portray how truly beautiful these pieces are.  When I get anything 3-d, it just blurs them a bit and we used a really different cut of crystal on the purple bead dangling from the center.  You can add more dimension to your piece by wire wrapping it too.  We used silver plated Artistic Wire, 24 guage and yep- got that too.  This wire really was easy to use.  You will love the results you get using these Katiedids.

Here is a mfg. picture of some designs using other types of beads.  Whether Swarovski or other beads, they all look wonderful in the Katiedids.

Katiedids Rectangle Bar Component~This "stick" measures 35 mm or approx. 1 3/8" high and approx. 1/4" wide.  It has 2 holes -one positioned at the top and one at the bottom, you cannot see them in the picture-they are not the large looking holes on the body.  The 2 holes run vertical so you can insert a headpin or wire to attach your beads to.  There are plated in a pretty bright silver finish- the picture does not do this justice.  Great for earrings or a necklace.  Sold per piece.
$1.39

Katiedids Curved Component~This is a great look for earrings or a necklace, possibly a bracelet too.  It measures approx. 1 1/8" across (diameter) (27.5mm) and is approx. 1/2" high.  It has 2 holes, one on each side at the top so you can add your wire to string your beads too.  A head pin would not be long enough for this.  In the project I made from a class we used the Artistic Wire, 24 gauge silver wire, which I do have on another page.  I loved working with it.  It comes in a bright silver plated finish.  Sold per piece.
$1.19

Katiedids Circle Components-2 Hole~This picture shows how nice they are finished on the back of the piece also.  Very shiny, flat and smooth.  This circle measures approx. 25 mm or 1" in diameter.  It comes with 2 holes- top & bottom.  You would use your wire and string around the external circle.  You can add a picture to the center, collage, small button, etc and even add resin to it if you like to highlight your center.  Sold per piece.
$1.65

kdidrnduse.jpg

Katiedids Round Component-4 Hole~This is identical to the round component above except it has 4 holes.  They are positioned straight down from each other so you could take wire and run all the way through top to bottom.  The center circle is solid.  Finished in bright silver plating.  Sold per piece.
$1.65

Although these pictures do not do the components justice as far as the bright silver color, this picture shows how nicely finished they are on the back too- smooth, bright and shiny.

Mfg. Samples from CHA 2010

I took this picture at CHA, 2010.  These are additional samples made up by the class instructor, Katie of her Katiedids products.
If I remember correctly, the bracelet showing the one done in black script and cream color background was polymer clay.  These are so versatile and you can create so many different looks with different mediums.

This is a picture of Katie Hackers necklace she had on while teaching the class on Katiedids.

ATTN:  MAC Users & Ipod Phone Users~
For some reason Mac/Ipods & Paypal do not work well together.  For some Mac & Ipod users, the Paypal cart will dump after several things are added to the cart.  I might suggest you write the item numbers down that come up when you "add to cart".  If it does dump, you can call -740-477-1238 or email your order c_byers1@msn.com.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  I have notified Paypal of this problem, but so far it has not been fixed.

~ATTENTION-Just a Little Slower NOTICE~
I had surgery on  my left wrist & arm February 13th.
I will be like a one arm bandit for 6 weeks with a brace on left arm to keep it immobile- so the going will be a little slow during that time.

Thanks so much for your patience during this time.

PLEASE make sure your Paypal ADDRESS is CORRECT before placing your order.  Thanks!  It also helps to have a correct email address if I need to contact you re your order.  Thanks.
